Art. 196 | Quality assuring compliance
§1 The Church body develops a plan of action to quality assure compliance with the safeguarding standards. This action plan is reviewed annually. The Church body only has responsibility to monitor, evaluate and report on compliance with the indicators under each standard that apply to it, depending on its ministry.
§2 The Church authority:
a) puts in place arrangements to ensure and evaluate its compliance with the safeguarding standards at a local level;
b) produces a report on the level of compliance established through this audit exercise;
c) notifies the National Board in writing of the completion of this annual audit report.
§3 The Church body produces a three-year child safeguarding plan that:
a) outlines the actions that will be taken to keep children safe;
b) identifies who is responsible for implementing these actions;
c) specifies the time frame within which actions are completed;
d) identifies the resources to ensure that the plan’s objectives are realised.
